I’m in the National Guard. On active duty posts, at 2200, does everyone go to attention for taps?

it’s not a knife it’s a tactical flashlight

Don’t have any experience with this myself. There’s no reg that dictates that you need to do anything when taps is played at lights out, I know there’s a set of rules for military funerals and ceremonies though. If you’re walking around outside, in uniform, and taps comes on at 2200, I always thought you just keep walking. Any active duty guys willing to share their experience?
